The National Institute of Cardiology Among the Winners of the ABM Contest to Establish a Clinical Research Support Center

The Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński National Institute of Cardiology – a State Research Institute, has been listed among the ten laureates of the contest announced by the Medical Research Agency aimed at creating a network of specialized Clinical Research Support Centers.

The project titled “Establishment of the Clinical Research Support Center at the National Institute of Cardiology operating in a shared services model, providing support for commercial and non-commercial clinical trials” received over 10 million PLN in funding to create a structure supporting the development of commercial and non-commercial clinical trials.

The President of the Medical Research Agency, Dr. med. Radosław Sierpiński, handed a symbolic check to Prof. dr hab. n. med. Tomasz Hryniewiecki – the Director of the National Institute of Cardiology and signed an agreement to implement the project, thus initiating the creation of a specialized center with uniform standards for conducting clinical trials.

The Clinical Research Support Center of the National Institute of Cardiology will serve as the primary contact point for Sponsors with the center and will also meet all the standards of a patient-friendly place. Additionally, the Center will support all activities within clinical trials such as active search for sponsors, reviewing and negotiating contracts, planning and implementing non-commercial clinical trials, legal and accounting services for trials, and their implementation.

Thanks to the implemented changes, the National Institute of Cardiology will contribute to the increased importance of clinical trials and the growth of the scientific potential of national medical institutions.
